There is no journalist here

Every page on this site is assembled by software. We say that plainly because the alternative — inventing a reviewer, giving them a photograph and a history of hands-on testing — is the thing most sites in this business quietly do, and it is a lie that gets more expensive every year.

So there is no byline. Where a human is involved, it is a reviewer deciding whether a page should be released at all, and that is a different job from writing it.

What we can prove, and what we cannot

We have not held the product. We have not run the benchmark. Nothing on this site will ever tell you otherwise, and the language checks reject a draft that tries.

What we did do is narrower and checkable: we loaded the seller’s page, took our own screenshot of it, read the price off it, and recorded the minute. That capture is kept, and it is shown at the foot of the article it supports.

The receipt is the product. If a figure on this site has no record behind it, the figure does not appear.

The two numbers we count

Neither number is a marketing device. Both drive what gets published: a story without corroboration is not written up, and a price outside its window is suppressed before the page reaches you.

How many separate outlets reported a story before we wrote anything about it. One outlet is a report; nine is a fact.

Timestamp

When a price was last read off a live page. Past its window, we take the figure down rather than let it go quietly stale.

What we will not publish

Some subjects are refused outright, before anything is written: politics and elections, tragedy and disaster, medical treatment, investment advice, gambling, adult material and weapons. They are rejected at the point a topic is formed, and the rejection is recorded rather than left silent.

Health, fitness, personal finance, insurance and legal-adjacent subjects are not blocked but are never automatic: a person reads every one of those pages before it publishes.

How this is paid for

Affiliate commission, disclosed on every page that carries a link and explained in full on the page about how we make money. No sponsored posts, no paid placements, no advertiser has ever seen a draft.
