Joan Carver leaves her father's remote cabin to marry Pierre Landis, settling into a solitary life in the Wyoming mountains. Pierre's intense love for Joan is shadowed by a fierce, possessive temper. As winter seals off the high country, isolation deepens Pierre's suspicion of any outside influence that threatens his hold on her.
When Eastern author Prosper Gael visits their isolated valley, Pierre's smoldering jealousy ignites into violence.
