Three witches greet Macbeth with visions of royalty, planting the seed of kingly ambition. Encouraged by Lady Macbeth's cold resolve, Macbeth resolves to murder King Duncan while he sleeps as a guest in their castle. Fate appears not as an inescapable force, but as an invitation that requires moral surrender to fulfill.
Macbeth plunges his daggers into Duncan, but guilt strikes instantly as blood covers his hands. Lady Macbeth smears the sleeping guards with blood to frame them, maintaining the illusion of control. Duncan's death breaks the natural order, turning the castle into a nightmare where sleep itself is murdered.
Tormented by the prophecy that Banquo's heirs will reign, Macbeth hires assassins to slaughter his loyal friend. At a royal banquet, Banquo's ghost occupies Macbeth's throne, exposing the king's crumbling sanity to his bewildered nobles. Paranoia transforms a monarch into a tyrant who can trust no one.

Meanwhile, Malcolm's army advances disguised behind branches from Birnam Wood, and Macduff—born via Cesarean section—confronts Macbeth in single combat. Macbeth's fatal misinterpretation of the prophecies leaves him completely ruined and defeated.
